Book Of Life

Life is like a book. It has Chapters. There are some Chapters
which should be closed permanently.

They may be appealing. You read them and hope that they never end.

But you have to close them.Reluctantly, and that too........ Forever.

Why?

Because you dont understand them. Everytime you read it. It
has a new meaning. You drain yourself (day in and day out) trying to get the real meaning, the real purpose of it being in your Book (read as Life).

Whatever.

Now, when you have decided not to read that Chapter
again. You have to do the preparations. Most of them are mental.

I have started the preparations.

Saw Laws of Attraction at the ultra-modern PVR (yes, they
are screening movies) ..another sweet romantic flick..watched this kinda movie after long long time..so liked it.

Random self teaching for the day..

When we dont get something ..something that we so profoundly want ..then life does not end..it makes us tough, strong and enduring..it prepares us for the worse..it actually divulges us that we are not alone in the battlefield..we have to struggle to get to the other side..to the greener pastures..

arz kiya hai...

"aapko hum kya maarenge.
humein khud marne se fursat to mile."

wah..wah..

ek aur..

"gir padha hun,
uth jaunga.
darta hun,
woh na utha le"

wah wah...taaliyaaan.!

Four days.!!!...okay nights tooo :)

Diwali!.., this Diwali was unique, wonderful and *memorable*.
I am sure it will be permanently ingrained in the minds of all who
celebrated this Diwali at Abhaga's place..

Getting an invit of Diwali pooja from Abhaga is in itself memorable,
but the way Abhaga, Ratul and Abhijeet hosted the evening
was remarkable, with the *fun* part there, as usual :)

Before anything else.."The Maids" come to my mind...
well it was an English Play that myself and Abhaga watched
very intently and will full sincerity :) on Wednesday eve..
The Play was a part of a the Rangashankara Theatre Festival,
the Festival is still on! .and i wish to watch more plays...
.coz i must watch more of them..if at all i need to improve my
base understanding of plays of different genre. ..this is I say..after
i saw "The Maids", an eye opener, at least for me.
Abhaya..we need to watch more plays.

For more on 'The Maids'..google devta gives me this..
http://www.sparknotes.com/drama/maids/themes.html

hmm..Back to Diwali..so how do you have a successfull Diwali pooja
followed by awesome dinner for 10 when

* your maid came early in the morning and went back coz you did not open the door..
  • so you have no one to clean the house.. except you
  • so you have no one to cook.. ..except you

* and now when you try and do all the stuff urself..

  • you dont know where is the broom..
  • you dont know where is the mopping cloth..
  • you are as good a cook as Harbhajan is a batsman

* among all this, you realize that the number of ppl coming to the pooja increase by the hour..well thats coz you have invited ppl like me..who brings 3 others (Dubey, Awasthi and Rikhil) with himself..who finally end up eating all the dinner..and leave only a lil of "chane ka aata" (for the puris) for the rest of them..

* somehow, coz of your unlimited talents and grace of God. you prepare and prepare and prepare the whole day ..chole..matar paneer..raita..clean the house..wash the house..lay the mattress..bed sheets..get the stuff for pooja..kheel batashe..agarbatti..dhoop agarbatti..lakshmi ganesh..deepak..candles..cotton wicks..sarson ka tel..

* finally when u think that its all done..you find urself shouting.."abey ratul naha le..abey ratul naha le"..

* its pooja time..everyone is there..watching each other..looking at you..expecting something..and you expecting something too..coz no one knows where to start the pooja from.

* after a GD on "How to have the pooja" you proceed with it..trying to remember the aartis..

"Jai Ganesh Jai Ganesh Deva..Maata Jaaki Parvati Pita Mahadeva"... in between ppl like me suggest

  • to go to a net cafe to download the aarti..
  • to switch on the Aastha channel and expect a Diwali Aarti
  • that if some one calls you..ask him/her if he/she knows an aarti.

* again..coz of your unlimited talents and grace of God you retrieve 3 paras of the aarti..only to find ppl asking you to blow the shankh 3 times..

* after everyone is done with the pooja....and is buried under the stock of sweets you have got for them....you remind them "maathe par tika to laga lo.."

In short, **Kudos to Abhaga, Ratul and Abhijeet**

THANK YOU you inspire!

Must mention the number of calls and sms that came on Diwali..frens, relatives from all over india..calling..smsing....emails from almost everywhere..wow!..Happy Diwali!!

After a Great Diwali..Great Friday!

I remind myself,

Everyday is a new day.

Saturday.

12:20 pm..i am still in the bed..tired of sleeping, still sleeping..Dubey calls.."abey u coming?..match dekhne.."..i reply "hun..hun..haan..ok"...

2:15 pm.. i am at awasthi's place, indo-paki match..india batting..yuvraj playing well, me sleeping.

Around 6:15 pm..we finally decide to go to the only Multiplex in Bangalore (Silicon city..fast growing city..Metro city..single multiplex city...PVRs are there..with no shows to screen)..

Veer-Zaara, Aitraaj and Naach were released worldwide except Bangalore (Karnataka)..so my dreams of watching them were washed away..like many other dreams..no big deal!..huh :(

Anyways..two movies back to back were not bad, King Arthur and Vaastu Shastra..:)
King Arthur is,well, yet another battle story, (Troy@back of mind),tells the story of the Best Warrior, his Knights, their sacrifices et al.. .watchable..rating **1/2

VaastuShastra..starts off like any other Factory Product (Ram Gopal Varma)..family moving into new house..haunted house..doors close, open by themselves..loud, screeching background score. After the typical first half..the second half is better and different, coz no tantrik suddenly comes up and performs the rituals..the scene when Sushmita confronts Rajpal Yadav..and finally realizes the existence of evil in the house is excellent..i enjoyed the movie after that..climax is ok..rating **

After a sleeping and filming Saturday

I remind myself,

Everyday is a new day.

Sunday.

around 2:30 pm Me, Dubey and Awasthi..are at M.G. Road with full determination and sole aim ->"We have to shop today".

Bangalore Central, Shoppers' Stop..Brigade Road..Commercial Street..its almost 9:00 pm...we are fully loaded with thermal jackets..sweaters..books..watnot!

I have four books to read

  • Sons Of Fortune
  • Are you Afraid of the Dark
  • To Kill A Mocking Bird
  • Veronica Decides to Die.

tough job..lets see

Why?

ok!..so am I back?..Yet again?..to write in something and then
disappear again??..why I do that?..why I don't write in here as
frequently as I wish..why I don't keep promises that I make to
a very important person...............
wat? who?..ME

why??....I ask myself..ME..the true ME...the ME which is inside..it
sees all..but it does not come out to show me the way....
why??

now now..i don't want answers like..hey, u must be real
busy..where is the TIME??..or may be answers like..hey, how
can u have something or the other to write ALWAYS..or hey,
whats the PROFIT..wat will you get from it..or may be answers
like..hey, you must be CRAZY..
watever..let me get back to my life..
Life is khoool..yo (Mtv Style)..listening to veer-zara and
swades..hehe..am mad!

Diwali is coming up..i suppose it will be my first diwali away
from home..away from my family....thursday and friday are
diwali holidays..followed by weekend..so total 4 days..totally
free...most of my frens frm coll..who were here..doing the
same software job..in some company or the other are now back
to their homes for diwali..still i have some frens (countable)
left here ..with whom i can celebrate my diwali..but
celebrations?..wat kind??..hmm..lemme think...well i guess i
will be happy watchin Veer-Zara and Aitraaz in
theatres...its been long that a new movie will be released in
Bangalore, thanks to the stupid ruling given by Karnataka
government that only Kannada movies will be released and the
Hindi movies will be screened after 7 weeks of their release
(in the rest of the country)..the logic being that Bollywood
movies are preventing Kannada movies to promote the south indian culture..and the Kannada movies are doing badly..(no wonder they are..huh!) ..so meez looking forward to the bolly movies..and some dhamakas in the company..and with frens..lets see how Bangalore celebrates Diwali..

I guess i will go..with the hope..that i will come back..again..and NOT ask the same questions ..that why..why..i dont come back and write...hmm...confusing.. ..
.. why???
